I am currently writing an E-book on the subject of central heating. It's written by a heating engineer for heating engineers, primarily those that are new to the career.
It shall be full of useful tips and experiences that have been learnt through hands-on experience. It is common nowadays for engineers to become qualified by following a short course as offered by some training institutions such as Gastec Training. Whilst these courses teach you to work safely with gas, they don't give you the hands-on experience that you would get through an apprenticeship. Lacking this experience makes it difficult to know where to start when diagnosing and repairing faults found on central heating systems.
